Review - Runner Runner

Starred by Justin Timberlake as Richie, Ben Affleck as Ivan Black and Gemma Atterton as Ms. Shafran. Hollywood kind of give me surprise in this movie, Justin Timberlake too, he's getting better and better in the acting world.
A movie about a college student that strive to pay his tuition by becoming a bookie in his campus. Well luck is not always on his side, and somehow he got caught by the dean and was notified if he continued his gambling attitude he will be discharged from Princeton. Yes, Richie was a princeton student and loved gambling very much, maybe it comes from his gambler father.
He lost his saving in gambling, and the option comes up by coming to Ivan Block the owner of Midnight Black Gambling Site where he becomes the affiliates. Ivan is in Costarica, so he fly there to met Ivan. The story continues, where Richie become one of Ivan's staffs and bring 2 of his friends. They were expanding the gambling business, across all nations just through the internet. The revenue was unbelievable tempting, and there were party and beautiful girls everywhere. So the three of them stays in Costarica for quite a while expanding Ivan's business.
Problems occur when the FBI confront them tries to made them spies of Ivan. In the other hand, Ms. Shafran who turns out one of the initiator and also ex-girlfriend of Ivan also involve in the romance department with Richie. Everything heats up, lots of shooting, lots of killing, but not really a vivid scene, so it's not too painful to the eyes.
Well, this is a happy ending movie. To overcome problems you just have to move first and really know the right time to strike. I guess that's the message of the  movie. It's just too bad, Ben Affleck not really showing the expected character or emotions of Ivan Block, it felt like there's something missing here and there. The thrill for Richie comes more from other thing rather than Ivan Block. But this is quite an entertaining movie, maybe Justin's Timberlake's best movie so far.
I gave this movie 3,5/5 stars! Enjoy the movie, and tell me what u think about it!

Review - Drinking Buddies

I've watched this movie in Christmas Holiday, well at first I thought it was a fun movie since the title is Drinking Buddies. The cast of the movie are Olivia Wilde as Kate, Jake Johnson - the new Girl actor - as Luke and Anna Kendrick as Jill.
Kate is Luke's work friend in a beer factory, they share a lot of things together. As a co-worker I really get the point of this kind of relationship. They share lunch together, share the laugh, and after office hours drinks.
Kate have a boyfriend for 8 months name Chris, and Luke has a girl friend name Jill. They have their own world during the day, and another world with their own partners. Kate's boyfriend is a music producer whose hobby is reading books, and Luke's girlfriend is a teacher. You see they have a different level in hobby, mindset and it feels like they live in a two world. This was shown in the scene of their holiday in the beach, where Kate spend time with Luke playing card, and Chris walking the track with Jill.
I won't say how this movie ends, I will let you guess what will happen between the four of them. If people says that opposite attracts, well not everything in the opposite attracts each other I suppose. We all need something in common with our partner, a feeling of mutual needs sometimes crawling from inside us and ask to be fulfilled.
Some of the scene feels quite boring for me, less friction between Kate and Luke kind of turn off my mood in the middle of the movie, but I kept wondering what will happen next.
Well, why don't you try to watch the movie and tell me what's your opinion. Anyway, I give this movie 3/5 stars!
