If you're looking a light movie but still full of meaning, then this might be a perfect movie for you.
An english movie, sets in London and Cornwall played by Domhnall Gleeson as Tim and Rachel McAdams as Mary. Not only show the beauty of a relationship, this movie shows the beauty of England in every corner. It just pushed me to visit England, one day.
Tim is the second child of the family. They have this family rituals to drink tea in the beach and throwing stones to the sea. Oh yeah, they live in a beautiful house in Cornwall, and it was in front of the They just have to go in a dark room, imagining the time and place they want to visit an in just an instant they will go back to the past they have imagined.
So, Tim practice his ability during the New Year Party. He nailed it! The successful action motivates him to do more, especially after he went to London to work. He met Mary in a dark room restaurant in London, and he just fall in love with her at first sight.
Mary in the other hand is just a simple and cute ordinary girl. There was this one scene, where Mary already had a boyfriend for a week. So, Tim return to the previous week to meet Mary first. Although Tim's look is so geeky and awkward, he's really a funny and a very nice guy. They talk all evening, bonding to each other and fell in love.
The movie is just so ordinary, its like a natural thing. Tim also has a sister who he dearly love named Kit Kat. Not only a great husband, he also a great brother. He tries to protect his sister with his power.
The benefit of the power shows real good when he found out that his father is dying, and finally passed away. He was very close to him, and with the ordinary thing that this family shows, its just filled with so much love between all the family members. It was so clear, they were bond to each other. You just want to be the part of the family. No requirements needed, no special requests, just you and the real you. It might not be a perfect family, but it was beautiful in every way.
This movie will show you how to appreciate every moment, cease the day they say! Every moment counts, all the little things. After his father passed away, Tim tries to repeat his day, every day. So, if he felt that today is a bad day, he repeat it again and made it a good day. In the end he just stop doing it, and really relish every single moment in his day. The message was simple, it is about time to live your life and not just live in it.
Do we always remember what we have been through in a day? Do we remember every single moment that we miss, and it just become meaningless. Every day that we live in, have we really live in it? How many moments that we just slipped it out from our hands?
Its like an intervention in my life when I watch this movie. Maybe I'm too serious with everything, but the message is clear for me. Always appreciate every moments in your life.
I give this movie 3,5/5 stars! Hopefully you could enjoy the movie as much as I do!
