Review - The Best Of Me

If you're looking a sweet, romantic kind of movie, this could be the perfect one. Starred by James Marsden as Dawson Cole and Michelle Monaghan as Amanda.

A love story of a lifetime, if I may say. That kind of love where you could not diminish, it just there. It's a sweet, strong and incredibly amazing.

The story is started where Dawson met Amanda in high school, and as we could all expected that they become a couple. A handsome young man with a beautiful young woman met, fell in love and become a couple. Like any other kind of romantic movie, the parents of the girl didn't approve the relationship because he came from different level of family.

Dawson Cole was raised in a broken family, his father was a drug dealer and led all of his sons to become his assistants. He doesn't care about education, in fact he like to abuse his sons. He leaved a lot of scars in Dawson's body and definitely in his soul. Dawson finally runs from his family and live with an old man named Tuck. A wise man that take him and educate him to become the best of him.

Something happen along the way, Dawson was jailed and this led him shut everything about Amanda. When a man chose her man, she will do almost anything to cope with the man. I guess that's the real definition of love, coping and accepting our loved ones no matter what. Amanda visits him almost every day in a month, and then every weekend for a year. But, Dawson never want to accept her visits. The action led to their separation.

20 years later, Tuck died and they were called to the same old town to receive their inheritance. The meetings lit the old flames, and they finally realized that they still love each other. The problem is, Amanda is married to another man and has children from him.

The best of me was taken in a beautiful city, I love the scenery showed. Adapted from Nicholas Sparks book with the same title, well, all I could say that the story is his typical style. From this movie you will learn that there are people that push you forward and made the best version of you. They will walk besides your thick and thin, and never let your hand go. The precious ones. The ones that still give us reasons to live.

Not a very happy ending, but this is quite entertaining, though I'm not really fond of with the female actresses, but it's not bad. So, I give this movie 3/5 stars! Enjoy!

XOXO

Review - We Are Your Friends

One thing that drawn me to this movie is definitely Zac Efron, such a cutie, I can watch him at any given day. Well, Zac Efron or Cole at this movie is a kid who likely live in his bestfriend's house named Mason. Well, Cole has this talent as a DJ, where Mason as his Manager and they have two more bestfriends named Ollie and Squirrel. Four of them are a team. They worked the same thing.

Opportunity knocks when Cole meet James Reed, a famous DJ and introduce her to Sophie (Emily Ratajkowski), which we can guess that they will finally have a relationship. Cole only need one great track and play it in the Summerfest, and with the help of James Reed, he finally create one beautiful tracks.

This movie is a perfect one for an EDM lovers, who likes to hear Kygo, Years and Years - Desire Remix and other kinds of EDM musics. It will be a total eargasms for you guys.

The story for me was kinda shallow, it should be more deep with the creation and the connection between the buddies. But overall, it's entertaining especially with the EDM music and definitely Zac Efron cuteness! LOL

I give this movie 3/5 stars for entertaining! Enjoy!

Review - Papertowns

I'm writing this review while listening to HAIM - Falling (Duke Demont remix) which was one of the soundtrack of the movie. So, called me obsessed, I have read the book, watch the movie and also listening to the soundtrack. This is beyond what I usually do, this movie somehow is a special case for me.

If you read the book, well the movie is exactly just like the book. Right from the start they found a dead body on the park, and then on with the revenge by Margo Roth Spiegelman played by Cara Delevigny which got helped from her childhood friend Quentin or Q played by Nat Wolff.

So is it a good movie? Overall, the story is completely the same from the book, only tiny things that were not shown in the movie. The main cast is just perfect, we can see Margo's weirdness and at the same time looks amazingly beautiful. I can feel the chemistry of both main cast.

What I had a little problem is the best friends of Q, well they look somehow too kinky and not on their real age. It appears to me, Ben and Radar doesn't have quite a role, where in the book they were like the cute ones. Especially Ben, but Austin Abrams looks too young for the role, or Q looks too old? Well, watch the movie and decide.

The search of Margo, the adventures, the laugh, the moment you realize that times and memories is all they have are beautiful. Then I resemble to my life, and it's like "Hey, I also experiencing all that", then all the memories just come into my mind. Treasures of life. In the end, we will live by the memories.

Paper town means fake town which indicate or as a code in the maps so they won't be copied by other people. We tend to create our own papers, then we become paper people and then disappeared in the papertown. Margo teach us to live to the fullest, be yourself, try anything because the problem you have is too small compare to all the possibilities served out there.

Bravery is an expensive thing. I guess no one can really as brave as Margo, and I really appreciated her bravery. It's so amusing to see people who are self driven like her. I wish I was one of them, could I?

Anyway, I give this movie 3,5 / 5 stars!

Review - 50 Shades of Grey

Well, this might be the most waited movie of the year! While the book is booming in the Market, everyone wonders what's the movie is going to be. I read the book, and watch the movie.

Starred by Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, it's just an ordinary movie. A story about an ordinary girl, met a rich and handsome man accidentally, they like each other, but this time the man has a specific request of relationship. Especially the sex part, while he become the boss, and the girl become his submissive.

If you have wild imagination, you could shut it down, it won't happen! I don't really know dakota johnson, but she's not wow enough to be Anastasia. She doesn't have that wow factor, in my humble opinion. So, I kinda fast forward the movie in some scene because I feel the boredom. As Jamie, well he's OK but it's just an okay, nothing more.

Not really a fan of this movie. Even entertaining seems so far from the deliverance. So, I gave this movie 2/5 stars!

Review - Rudderless

This is one of my favorite musical movie. Starred by Selena Gomez as Kate, Billy Crudup as Sam, Will Macy as the bar owner.

This movie tells about a father who found music demos in his son's room. It surprised him, cause he never know how talented his son was. Sadly, his son had passed away, killed by the police officers. Why? Because his son made a gun shot in the University library.

As parents, I could imagine how this feels. You will start everything with lots of questions, and there won't be answers for each question you throw out in the air. The last summary of everything is, I am a bad parents and had made an evil son.

The parents broke, the father move to a boat and live there. He took his son's demos and played it over and over, and finally created a band with bunch of young adults. They played his son's songs, without telling them the story behind it.

The band got famous, until one day the band, the fans, they finally know the real story. The society couldn't accept the tragedy which happens to its members, and immediately block them from social relationship. A big burden left for the whole circles of the tragedy, while the real actor is at peace in his grave.

The story not only show us to resolve which ever tragedy that happens to us, but to be consistent facing our demons. Life was never been easy, and never will.

Movie and good music in one place, it's like nirvana. I love this movie, the soundtrack, and the story. I give this movie 3.5/5 stars! Hopefully you enjoyed it, as much as I love it.

Review - Paper Towns

A book by John Green.

This is the first John Green book I read. After watching The Fault in Our Stars, I saw an article that they also going to make a movie from John Green's Paper Towns. Fall in love with The Fault in Our Stars, so I bought this book.

A more than 400 pages of book, played by two main character Margo Roth Spiegelman and Quentin Jacobson. They are friends since they were just kids, caught up with a suicide event in a park near their house.

Margo is a beautiful, weird and adventurous girl and one of the famous kids in the school. But Quentin is the geek one, calm and well planned boy. They hardly ever talk to each other again, although they could see each other from their bed room window. Well, I also experience this things, when friends somehow become stranger without any reason.

One day, Margo ask Quentin to accompanied her in an adventure, they revenge some people who treat them badly, friends who stab them in the back and old enemies. This part is so exciting, I wish I could do it to some people! Margo planned everything carefully, and finish the adventure in Sea World. It was a great night for both of them, one of the best memories you will never forget in your entire youth life.

Then, Margo disappear, nobody knows where she is. Quentin, helped by two of his best friends tries every way to find and locate her, but couldn't find her. They searched empty building, subdivisions, everywhere, and still couldn't find her.

This is one of the quotes in the book. It reminds you that when you think you know someone, but actually you're not. Then you're spending your time guessing and wondering why they were not the way they were supposed to be.

This book is interesting, simple, but still touch deep enough to create questions in your mind and heart. Though the story is about young adult, but I still love how John Green put the words in each scene.

I also wanted to watch how Cara Delevigne plays Margo Roth Spiegelman. It's going to be interesting, though I kinda hope Emma Watson to plays the role.

I give this book 3/5 stars! I give the last quotes below, because I know, we always attracted to some people and decided to be around them. No coincidence.

Review - Rush

Two individuals with their own qualities, one is Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl) and the playboy James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth). Not only they race, they pushed everything to the limit.

Niki Lauda is a former Winner of Grandprix in the World. James Hunt, well he never been a winner of Grandprix but he becomes the shadow of Niki Lauda. He always comes second, and waits when Niki going to made mistakes and he will take the opportunity in just seconds. They are competitor.

Niki Lauda is a man with calculation, married a beautiful wife, stick with only one woman in his career. He is the good boy with lots of achievements in his back. One day in a track race, he requested a meeting because based on his calculation, they won't make it alive in that track. The heavy rain is pouring, the track is known crazy, but all of the other racers laughs including James Hunt.

The race is still on, and Niki Lauda's car was burnt in the track. He suffered with severe injuries, burnt all over his lungs, and also he quickly replaced by someone else. One of the scene that I remember quite vividly is the moment they have to pump the blood from his lung. Its a torture, even seeing it is already a torture.

See the accident, it struck James Hunt. He realized that, he could be killed at anytime. Just a single mistakes, then he could be killed easily.

From this movie we could learn that unfortunate events that we experience bring us two options, we drown in or we fight it back and become the champion. Niki Lauda is really a role model for life, but James Hunt really know how to enjoy life.

The choice is yours in this life, everything gone with the consequences. I give this movie 3,8/4 stars!

Review - Volver

A 2006 movie starred by the beautiful Penelope Cruz, or in this movie acted as Raimunda.

A movie about family, pain and unresolved past. The movie was set in the suburb area in Spain and also some of it took place in Madrid. In a village where people know each other very well and stayed together their whole life.

Raimunda, is a mother of a teenage girl, Paula. One day, her husband Paco tries to rape her daughter, Paula defend herself and accidentally killed her father. As a mother, Raimunda couldn't let her daughter take the blame, so he hid the body in a freezer.

Slowly, the past started to show, bit by bit. Started with a mother that should've been died for years, show herself. A big surprise for her first daughter, Soledad, which apparently together with the mother hide her existence in front of Raimunda. This lead us to another question, what's behind all of their actions? Every family has their own secrets, the revealing is the painful time.

We could imagine this movie happen to one of us. Although, I felt a little bit telenovela taste in the story. The story is so common, all of the actions that the cast take is so predictable, although the end is not so predictable.

Penelope Cruz played this movie very well, with her radiant face and body, she's the flower in the whole movie. Too bad, the other cast is not as beautiful as she is, everyone looks dull next to her. She's so perfect with the colorful skirts, shirts, but the rest of the crew is too common and it made them looks less interesting.

A good friend recommend me this movie, and this movie give me an insight about Spanish people. How they kiss like they meant it, and show their affection towards other people. Though I know the story from the first place, but somehow it didn't spoil the whole thing. It was good movie, but not my kind of taste probably.

I give this movie 3/5 stars!

Review - Avengers Age of Ultron

This might be one of the most waited movie of the year. After the first success, well a sequel of success is expected. The movie theaters plays this movie in more than two studios. Movie lovers or not, they all come to join the hype of the superheroes.

The current avengers share about the human or we may say the weak side of superheroes. All of them has fears, they all have the dark side in their past, just like any human being in this earth. When the fear emerge from their subconscious, they were forced to take a step back to conquer it.

Hawkeye as the weakest of the superheroes shows his perfect life. A family, a house, a perfect kind of life. I feel like, Joss Whedon, the director wish to show his audience about the soft side of the superheroes. Being weak doesn't mean you will lose in battles, but strength could also be developed from your weaknesses. I think that was part of the messages of this movie.

Romance was part of the show, black widow and hulk is quite a pair. Even monsters know how to love and be loved. Awkward in some scenes, but I guess its fine.

The avengers won't be much of a show if the villain is not around. The villain was built accidentally by the genius Tony Stark named Ultron. It generates over and over again perfecting it self, and also builts an army of metals. They wish to diminished human being and changed it to the world of metals. As simple as that. With a little bit of twist added by the Maximoff twins.

Compares to the first Avengers, its like comparing bread and butter for me. Very different, and each of the sequel has their own characteristics. If you wish to see the strong side of superheroes then you will loved the first one. This sequel is still entertaining but not much of a thrill like the first one. So, for the entertaining side, I gave 3,3 stars of 5 stars!

Book Review - The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith

Written by J.K Rowling under the pseudonym of Robert Galbraith, a detective story about the murder of a famous superstar.

Lula Landry, is a famous superstar who was murdered by someone who pushed her from the balcony of her apartment. It was John, Lula's brother who did not pleased with the result of the police investigation and decided to hired a private detective to investigate the murder.

Lula's apartment is one of the exclusive apartment in London, the murder scene has no witness other than a drug addict who listens from below the apartment. The police couldn't find any evidence inside the apartment, only a video of a man wearing hoodie who run across the street. So, they decided it was a suicide, Lula got crazy and throw herself out from her balcony in a snowy night.

The private investigator is Cormoran Strike, a crippled man, who just broke up with his girl friend. Strike was an ex Investigator in the Army so he knows how to collect the pieces and put the puzzle in the plate. Helped by his beautiful secretary Robin, they worked together solve the murder.

The story was a group of puzzles, the writer placed the puzzle carefully here and there, slight hints with minor details. Your mind will wander and guessing all through the story. It was a good story, but sometimes I feel the story is dragging sometimes. Maybe this is J.K Rowling style, since this is her first book I read.

I wonder how it will be if it was filmed, since I have watched casual vacancy, and just going to read the book. The movie will be much interesting I suppose, since the story was told in London, I am longing to see the beautiful view of London and also what Cormoran Strike will look like with his crippled feet.

Review - Closer

A 2004 movie, cast by Julia Roberts as Anna, Natalie Portman as Alice/Jane, Clive Owen as Larry and Jude Law as Dan.
The image on the left is one of the best scene in the movie. I have to give credit to the beautiful faces of Julia Roberts and Natalie Portman, they look amazingly beautiful in this movie. I have been watching their movies all this time, and I may say that they look great in this movie.

Anyway, I was attached to this movie firstly because of the soundtrack which is The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice. You will hear it at the beginning of the movie and at the ending. So, when I see it in HBO that they're going to play this movie, I was excited, and last night was the right time.

The movie tells about 4 people, two couples, the first couple is Dan and Alice, the second couple is Anna and Larry. Dan got bored in his relationship with Alice, which was a stripper, and tries to flirt with Anna. On the other hand, Anna meets with Larry accidentally, and finally got married.

The two couples lives with their life. One is the modest type, the other is kind of middle class type. One day, on an exhibition of Anna's photo, Larry meets Alice, and somehow Dan and Anna rekindle their romance. As a sign of love, Dan honestly admit to Alice that he has an affair with Anna, which leads to Alice disappearance. It also happens with Anna, where he finally come out and honestly spoke to her husband that she had an affair with Dan and wish to leave him.

One of the scene that every couple that went jealousy and faced with affairs is they become eagerly questioning every tiny little bit of  thing that the other one doing with their partner. This scene was amusing and also could become a learning session for couples. Finally, Dan and Anna become together with their romance, until Anna have to ask Larry to sign her divorce papers.

How about Alice? Well, since she left Dan, she become a stripper once again. One day, Larry meets her, and eventually with the anger left because of the affairs of their partners, they sleep together, well at least that's what Larry said to Dan when they meet.

I kind of confused with Anna's character in this movie. She moves quite fast from side to side, it's like she does everything without any prior thinking. Although, if we see the other characters is also weird in their own way, which made this movie more interesting.

I like this movie, although Jude Law looks incredibly geeky, but this is quite a good movie. I gave this movie 3,8/5 stars!

Review - Fast n Furious 7

Its like the movie, everyone is waiting for. The movie theater opens like 3 theaters for this movie alone, and the line for this movie is unbelievably longggggg.

Once you are seated and watched this movie, you will be served with excitement, right from the first 10 minute. This movie will drag you and leave you in peace at its end.

Still with the old actors, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodrigues, Dwayne Johnson, and also the vicious Jason Statham. Without question, they are all good actors, proven in their field. This is like a movie where the hot shots play in one stage, almost like the young version of expendables. Maybe they will made another version of expendables when their old.

Anyway, the story flies in many different cities and continents. The villain, Ian Show, keeps on nagging them and tries to kill them. The story lies when someone could hack the whole system of camera in the world, and could easily see the whole world in just an instant. The virus is named Eyes of God, and it was built by a beautiful girl named Ramsey. Well, the mission was to save Ramsey and claim the virus to the government.

They cross Dubai, wreck three building with a 3,4 mio car, and then move again to L.A to the final fight. It was a thrill in the whole movie, its like you also join the race car and get caught in the race of saving Ramsey. Not everything is make sense, like jumping through cars in just seconds, its beyond my believe I guess.

Not really my kind of movie actually. Not really a fan of Vin Diesel or Paul Walker, so for me this is just a so-so movie.

So, I give this movie 3/5 stars!

Review - Whiplash

This could be one of the most intriguing movie I ever watched. The story is so simple, and straight forward. No flowery things, direct message to the audience. LOVE IT!

A story about a 19 years old named Andrew Tanner, played by Miles Teller. Andrew, is a college student in Shaffer Music College, he was a drummer in an orchestra. Just a normal kid, with limitation in the socialization zone. Reminds me of...me!

Anyway, one day when he was playing his drum in the studio, a famous conductor named Terence Fletcher, played by J.K Simmons, see him played and eventually ask him to join at his orchestra. Fletcher is known the best conductor in the whole region, he has won several competition.

Fletcher has a unique way of coaching his kids. The uniqueness I mean is like throwing chairs at his student. Cruel? Definitely. But, this is one of his great qualities, he could push his students to the limit they think they can't. Sounds familiar? Well, maybe not everyone could be treated like this, but Andrew he was like fire. Started with just a flame, and ends up burning the whole building. He earns every single thing.

One thing for sure after watching this movie, for me, hopefully it happens in you too is "have I done my best?". We fail, we fall, we suffer, we cry, we demotivated, we are just human, all those things end up in that one single question. I'm also experiencing those kinds of things, there are moments that I'm not so proud of because I could be lazy as a bear in the hibernating season. But somehow, sometime, we just have to manage to stand tall and keep our feet in the ground.

I LOVE this movie, and fall in love with Miles Teller. He prove his acting capabilities, not just playing as a joker here and there, but this movie really shows his talent. It's too bad he didn't win the oscar, maybe this is just not his time. I believe someday, he will win it.

Love it! Love it! Love it! I give this movie 4,5/5 stars!

Review - The Gunman

Well, if you wish to see Sean Penn in his best shape, then this is the right movie. Sean plays as James Terry, who works in congo in the early 2000 as a security task force for the foreigner in Congo.

James has a girlfriend named Annie, played by Jasmine Trinca, an italian actress. A dedicated doctor for the humanitarian rights. Annie, only knows that James works only keeping airports safety, she doesn't know that James is also a mercenary.

Both James and Annie really love each other, until a special task requires James to out of the continent. So, he went without any prior notice to Annie. This is where the conflicts begin.

James liaison, Felix Marti, played by Javier  Bardem, fall in love with Annie. Just like King David when he asks one of his commander to the war field, so he could seduce his wife. Same story different casts. Annie finally marries Felix and move to Barcelona.

8 years later, while James works in the NGO, 3 mercenaries were sent to kill him. Helped by his friend, Stanley, he finally found out who wish to wipe him out.

This movie is such an underrated for Sean Penn's proven skills, the storyline is too obvious and he's too old to be shown like this. This movie is based on a book, I haven't read the book yet, but the story is a typical mercenaries stories. Not so much surprises, and Sean's beautiful body somehow doesn't helped much in enjoying the movie.

I give this movie 3/5 stars!

Review - The Imitation Game

Maybe this is the first time, I really watch Benedict Cumberbatch in a serious mode. I've seen him in the series of Sherlock Holmes but not really watch him. He. played as Alan Turing in this movie, a genius in Math and trying to stop the World War II.

The world war II was started by the German led by Hitler, the allies, including England in this matter is trying so hard to break the code that was sent by their home based. The code of the bombing, the attack was sent every morning, and they have exactly 8 hours to decoded it, because tomorrow the code will change again.

With a group of smart people, Alan Turing tries to decoded the machine which is called enigma. He and a group of 4, and at the very end Keira Knightley as Joan Clarke enter the group. As a brilliant girl, and like any other smart people they tend to click.

The team tries decoding the machine by reading the words and find the right key to decoded it, Alan Turing, he create a machine to decoded it. So, in the future, they can remove all the of the trouble of decoding it. Any kind of codes can be decoded with this machine. I really don't get how that machine works, but I finally found out at the end that the machine he creates is the origin of computer.

Alan Turing is a weird kind of person, he grows up in pain. No friends, get bullied and end up of having one friend. I take the quotes at the pictures above as a reminder to ourselves, sometimes we tend to forget to never judge a book by its cover. If not because of Alan Turing, the lives of millions of people in Europe will be vanished. Tragically, society only see the homosexual thing he had, its such a pity.

Alan Touring teach us to show the uniqueness of ourselves and always believe in ourselves. To find someone that believes in you is like winning a prize, a treasure worth seeking. Mr. Cumberbatch really shows his talent in this movie, a beautiful movie made. I like it!

I give this movie 3,8/5 stars!

Review - Kingsman The Secret Service

Well, thus I'm kind of late in watching this movie since it was released in February 2015, I must say that this movie is worth the wait. Starred by Colin Firth as Harry, Taron Egerton as Eggsy, and Samuel L. Jackson as Richmond Valentine.

It started with Eggsy who was a drop out students, a punk who lives with his mother and his crook boyfriend named Dean. Eggsy has a necklace that was belong to his father, with a number on the back and told to call the number everytime he has troubles. Off course as a punk, trouble is a just around the corner. He was sent to the police station, and finally sent out after his call. Confusing with the release, Harry came and explained a little bit about Kingsman and asked him to join in.

Let me explain about Kingsman, its a private services that's filled with spies and known for its lack of interferences from outside sectors like the government. I wont spill you all the details, since it will ruin the excitement. Anyway, there's a vacant position at Kingsman and all the kingsman is urge to submit their candidates. These candidates will be trained and tested, and only one who will be taken as a Kingsman.

With various kinds of test, Eggsy and Roxy was the last best two candidates. Which made them and Merlin, the trainer, have to save the world from Richmond Valentine. Who is Mr. Valentine? Well, he's a crazy rich man who believes that the world need to be cleaned out from human. So, he started doing it by creating a technology that made human become so aggressive and started killing each other. Helped by his killer assistant, made him a powerful monster.

The movie is full of twisted stories and full of surprises. It's so entertaining, full of creativity and excitement. This is one of the best movie in this opening year. A collaboration of British and American, and we can see why the British is so proud with their tradition, and American looks so lame with the trials of so-fun people. In this case, I prefer the British, love their complexity, thus it looks so old fashioned but the elegance and depth of the culture is quite intriguing for me.

For a great and fun entertainment, great and beautiful actors I gave this movie 4/5 stars!

Review - The Other Woman

A simple romantic comedy movie, a good choice to relax your evening. I think we're all already know the summary from the title. Yup, its about cheating and the mistresses.

Cameron Diaz as Carly finally know that her boyfriend is cheating on her, and also a married man. He, Mark King played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, is married to Kate played by Leslie Mann. They both finally decided to take revenge on Mark, by not having sex with him. Funny thing is, Mark keeps going on weekend although he had not have sex with them. Well..well..Mark is a man of need, and of course he had the third one named Amber (Kate Upton).

They both join forces to find Amber, just to know that Amber..welll..Amber is every woman's worst enemy. Perfect body, beautiful blonde hair, she got everything every woman dream of. What is weird is, they all become friends. Now, this is very unusual. Its just to perfect to be true, but then again its all in the movie.

The trio of these beautiful woman play their revenge towards Mark. This is the time when we woman says, don't mess with us or you'll be sorry you were born. In the end find, Mark got his revenge, they sent him to bankruptcy. The three of them remain best friends, which almost impossible in real life in my opinion.

The movie is still entertaining, I like Cameron Diaz here rather than in sex tape, her looks is better here. If you need a simple, and entertaining movie, then this could be an option. I give this movie 3/5 stars!

Review - The Winter Soldier

Its kind of late to create review for this movie, since this movie was launched last year. Well, I hope my review could bring out the memories about it and we could compare if this is a good movie or not.

One of the movie from Marvel, this time is about Captain America. Chris Evans as Steve Rogers a.k.a the captain himself. The story begin with a project that needs to be accomplished by Captain America and his wing woman Black Widow or Scarlet Johansson. The project done smoothly. But than the movie was only a decoy, about something big, which is Hydra with the weapon of in project Insight, where the main target is Captain America.

Hydra is what's left from the Nazi, you could understand it clearly if you have watched the previous Captain America movie. Now, who is going to be the villain, nonetheless its Bucky, Captain America long lost best friend who has been freezed for all this time, just like him. Now, this is the part where I feel kind of awkward, two people freezed, have powers and against each other! Too many coincidence for me.

Moving forward, where nobody to trust since there's a lot of double agent out there who have become Hydra members. Captain America met falcon, who become his allies, together with Black Widow, and Fury, they try to win back SHIELD once again.

Everyone looks in shape in this movie, beautiful as ever! Chris Evans looks so yummy, I don't have the nerve to lick him XD~~. He even looks more beautiful than Scar Jo, like a statue. The story is great but it left nothing to remember for me. It's just a heroic story, nothing more, nothing less. No emotional connection at every scene. So, with that kind of length, its just a movie on Saturday night.

Since I don't get much from this movie, not that this is an ugly movie, so I give this movie 3/5 stars!

Review - Focus

If you see the image on the left, the caption is beautifully made "Never Lose.Focus"

I guess we will never lose if we focus on things we do. Well, this was proven by Will Smith or Nicky in this movie. He is a con man, a thief. He operates day and night with his team, yes they have team there. Especially during the events, they really could grab lots of money.

One day, a very beautiful girl came, Margot Robbie or Jess, wish to join the team. Maybe she was born with criminal blood, since she's very talented in stealing things, she looks like very natural every time she do her "things". Jess and Nicky finally become a couple, and they were like perfect to each other.

These movie will show us, that criminal actions is about planning, organizing and do it accurately. Just like any other job, you need to plan it wisely, organize the people inside the project and do it accurately, and in the end the reward is yours. They hit the highest revenue that week, they manage to collect 1,2 million. The show is over, all their shares will be transferred and everybody should go outside the country for vacation. The big bag is loaded! Nicky only have to put it in a bank and transfer it.

In a football game, Nicky and Jess watched the game from the VIP seats. Feeling bored, since Jess doesn't understand the game, they gamble a little. About the people around them. This trigger someone to also join in the game, he was chinese, named Liyuen. I almost close my eyes in this scene, since they bet for 1 million USD for a ball is passed or throw out. It was just a ridiculous bet. Nicky kept on loosing, until the highest bet of 2 million USD for choosing one of the team. Liyuen could choose anyone, and he said that Jess could guess the number right. Could Jess guess it right for 2 Million USD?

Enough about the bet, the scene moves 3 years after the bet, where Jess and Nicky have separated. This time, the place is taken in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A rich man, Gariga played by Rodrigo Santoro, loved to race and he spend lots of money to win. To make sure he win the race, he hired Nicky to con his competitor, to sell them a fake formula. It should be a smooth con, only if Jess not showing up. I guess everybody has their own past, and when the past emerge everybody was shaking a bit.

This movie is full of surprises, the plot is unpredictable. The puzzles will be shown at the end. Maybe because this is about a con man, they managed to twist the story here and there, and it worked. The story is entertaining, full of surprises. One of the things that kind of bothered me is Will Smith's face that look kind of ugly, he looks less charming like he used to be. I haven't figured out the reason, but compared to Margot Robbie, its like they were in different level. Margot Robbie's act is also great, effortlessly beautiful, she's going straight to the A Class Actors with that kind of ability and beauty, a complete package.

I give this movie 3,5/5 stars for entertaining and the surprises. Make sure you watch the movie, and give me your comments or review! Happy Sunday!

Review - About Time

If you're looking a light movie but still full of meaning, then this might be a perfect movie for you.
An english movie, sets in London and Cornwall played by Domhnall Gleeson as Tim and Rachel McAdams as Mary. Not only show the beauty of a relationship, this movie shows the beauty of England in every corner. It just pushed me to visit England, one day.
Tim is the second child of the family. They have this family rituals to drink tea in the beach and throwing stones to the sea. Oh yeah, they live in a beautiful house in Cornwall, and it was in front of the They just have to go in a dark room, imagining the time and place they want to visit an in just an instant they will go back to the past they have imagined.
So, Tim practice his ability during the New Year Party. He nailed it! The successful action motivates him to do more, especially after he went to London to work. He met Mary in a dark room restaurant in London, and he just fall in love with her at first sight.
Mary in the other hand is just a simple and cute ordinary girl. There was this one scene, where Mary already had a boyfriend for a week. So, Tim return to the previous week to meet Mary first. Although Tim's look is so geeky and awkward, he's really a funny and a very nice guy. They talk all evening, bonding to each other and fell in love.
The movie is just so ordinary, its like a natural thing. Tim also has a sister who he dearly love named Kit Kat. Not only a great husband, he also a great brother. He tries to protect his sister with his power.
The benefit of the power shows real good when he found out that his father is dying, and finally passed away. He was very close to him, and with the ordinary thing that this family shows, its just filled with so much love between all the family members. It was so clear, they were bond to each other. You just want to be the part of the family. No requirements needed, no special requests, just you and the real you. It might not be a perfect family, but it was beautiful in every way.
This movie will show you how to appreciate every moment, cease the day they say! Every moment counts, all the little things. After his father passed away, Tim tries to repeat his day, every day. So, if he felt that today is a bad day, he repeat it again and made it a good day. In the end he just stop doing it, and really relish every single moment in his day. The message was simple, it is about time to live your life and not just live in it.

Do we always remember what we have been through in a day? Do we remember every single moment that we miss, and it just become meaningless. Every day that we live in, have we really live in it? How many moments that we just slipped it out from our hands?

Its like an intervention in my life when I watch this movie. Maybe I'm too serious with everything, but the message is clear for me. Always appreciate every moments in your life.

I give this movie 3,5/5 stars! Hopefully you could enjoy the movie as much as I do!

Review - One Chance

We all have failures in life. Small or big failures we made create who we are right now. The real deal is to face those failures and do something to keep on going to our goal in life.
Paul Potts (James Corden) share his opera life in One Chance. He was bullied since he was at elementary to his adulthood. He is fat, not so smart and people never pay attention to his ideas or actions. One thing for sure is he loves opera very much.
One day, he met his online friend for the first time..Julz (Alexandra Roach), whose amazingly looks beautiful although she's a plus size. Their first meeting was insanely beautiful, it was love at the first sight. In every successful man, there's a woman behind it, and Julz was the one.

Paul shows his great talent which is singing opera in the talent show in a bar to win 300 Pound to add his saving to went to Venice. He shows up in a clown costume, the crowds tees and laugh him so hard, but he kept on moving. He open his mouth and sings the opera song, and left the crowd's jaw hanging. They couldn't believe it, neither do Paul. He won that night.

Paul finally went to Venice to learn Opera, and continue the long distance relationship with Julz. Venice scene was beautiful, it made me adding Venice as one of my destinations in life. He was great there, until one day he choke in front of Pavarotti and failed. He went back to Wales with broken heart. After meeting Julz, they finally decided to get married.

Paul's struggle started when he was convicted with tumor in his throat that made him stop singing and an accident that caused him stop working. He's miserable and hopeless in life. I guess the one thing that hurt human being the most is stop doing what they love doing. Its just too painful for the soul.

This movie shows how common people deal with failure in their life. We all have choices in life, and our path was decided with our decision. Do we want to continue chasing our dreams and goals, or are we just going to stand in the dark and watch our life fades away, meaningless. Paul was lucky, he had julz who always trust in him and believe for who he is. If you have your own julz today, you should be grateful and cherish him/her in every single day you had. They were the treasures in your life.

I find this movie encouraging me, made me think to all decisions I have made in my life. I know I could not rewind it, but I know in the future I will keep on moving no matter what. If I have to tip toe in every single step, I will. I dedicate this writing to one of my dearest friend, hopefully you'll read this and boost every energy you have. I wish you will find happiness soon!

A perfect Sunday movie, I give this movie 3,5/5 stars!

Review - Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Inferno

My first blog in 2015. Happy New Year anyway..Let's enjoy 2015 to the fullest!

I've watched this movie yesterday, and this is one of the must see movie according to my opinion. If you have watched the previous Rurouni Kenshin, then you will already know the cast, its still the same crew. But, if you haven't watched the previous movie, it won't be hard to understand.

The cast is still Himura Kenshin, Kaoru, Shinosuke, Megumi and the yahiko the little boy. The enemy in this movie is Shishio, who battle along with kenshin during the Toba-Fumi war, but he was burned by the government official since the government tried to eliminate all of their third parties helper.

A very exciting movie, filled with actions from the start. This is much better from the previous Rurouni Kenshin. Takeru Satoh as Himura Kenshin really plays his character well, not only that he also shows how Kenshin really have the expertise of as a samurai. Shishio is one of the toughest enemy that Kenshin have, since he's not alone but also he has the the 10 swords as his soldiers.

Shishio tries to rule Japan in the new age, he killed so many government officials and police officers. One of the officials, Mr. Okubo came to Kenshin and ask his help to solve the problem, since they were unable to defeat Shishio or his accomplice. At first, Kenshin hesitated to help, but then he sees how Mr. Okubo killed in a train and brutally stab in his carriage.

Shishio was indeed a brutal man, with his soldiers he tries to rebel and conquer Japan. At one of the fight between Kenshin and Sojiro (one of Shishio accomplice), his sword was broken. The Sword made by the famous swordsman was torn into two. So, Kenshin tries to find the swordsman, but he end up finding the swordsman has died. The back blade samurai he has finally replaced by the true back blade given by the swordsman son.

The story was so great, you could never turn your eye from the movie. Keishi Ohtomo directed this movie brilliantly, the movie flawlessly pour in your eyes. Just small things that bothers me is, the connection of Aoshi's anger to Kenshin, it seems kind of overrated. I don't know if Keishi Ohtomo will show it in Rurouni Kenshin The Legend Ends, the next sequel of this movie, but somehow Aoshi seems misplaced for me.

The scene, the picture quality, the actors, they were all beautiful, nothing is missed in the detail. This is gotta be, one of Japan best movie in my opinion. Although, I'm not a Japanes movie viewer, but I definitely won't forget this movie.

A good start in 2015, I am longing for the sequel now. Hopefully could watch it soon, since I'm still wondering about how Shishio ends and why the title is The Legend Ends. So Excited!!

I really recommend you guys to see the movie, not telling all the details in this review since I don't want to ruin your imagination and expectation. I give this movie 4/5 stars!
